Dr. Hussman decided to open a 3 Tesla MRI facility because he knew that better imaging quality was needed in New York. His consideration was not financial reward, becasue insurance reimbursement for all same no matter how good (or bad!) the scanner; he would ony be satisfied with the best quality MRI scanner possible in the most desireable setting possible: a Siemens 3 Tesla scanner in the heart of Manhattan. Disproving the general consensus in 2005 that 3 Tesla was primarily a research scanner, overcoming stringent technical requirements, and ignoring competition fom surrounding hospitals, Dr. Hussman established an MRI center which is the pinnacle of quality, sacrificing profit for perfection.

Once Inside

As soon as the door closes on the streets of Manhattan you are surrounded by italian marble and soft leather.  The gentle gurgle of the waterfall welcomes you to the luxurious reception area of Alpha 3T.  The front desk is made of imported Australian Burl that exudes warmth and comfort. Even though there is never a long wait, we wanted to make sure that you would be relaxed when it came time for your exam. With a several private seating ares, bonsai, and beautiful artwork in a wide open space, you are instantly transposed from the hustle/bustle of Manhattan into a place that grows more and more comfortable as you await your scan.

The Front Desk Rethought

At Alpha 3T MRI and Diagnostic imaging there is nothing to stop you from receiving the warm smile of welcome from our staff. Secondly, we lowered the counters to make everything easier whether you are in a wheel chair or just need a place to write. Keeping Private Matters Private

When it is time to discuss private maters with our financial and check in staff you will appreciate the design of our patient services area. Here our clinical coordinator will review with you all the details required to make your visit as soothing and stress free as possible. We handle all the billing for you and will help you fill out any forms that your insurance requires. If you don't have insurance you will find our staff particularly helpful in working out arrangements and examining all your options. One area we are particularly good at is in handling the challenges of work or auto accident related injuries. Ask, we can help!

Maximum Comfort

When it is time for your scan we make every effort to keep you comfortable.  First and foremost, your time in the CT or MRI scanners is minimized by having the top of the line equipment.  3T MRI scanns are about 40% quicker on average than comparable 1.5 T scans and provide much better resolution.  Secondly, our staff will be there to comfort you and talk to you the whole time, if needed.  One recent client posted a comment about this aspect that we are very proud of (click here to read it.)  Finally, we stop at nothing to make you feel comfortable including giving you head phones and a choice of music to listen to during your scan.  If there is anything else we can do, you need only ask.
